The FreeStyle LibreLink app revolutionizes glucose monitoring for individuals with diabetes, offering seamless integration with the FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. With this app, you can effortlessly check your glucose levels by simply scanning the sensor with your smartphone. For those using the FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors, the app also provides timely alerts for low or high glucose levels, enhancing your ability to manage your condition effectively.
Key features of the FreeStyle LibreLink app include:
- Viewing current glucose readings, trends, and historical data to help you understand your glucose patterns over time.
- Receiving alerts for low or high glucose levels when using FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors, ensuring you stay informed and can take action promptly.
- Accessing detailed reports such as Time in Target Range and Daily Profiles, which are crucial for managing your diabetes effectively.
- Sharing your glucose data with your healthcare provider and family members, fostering better communication and support.
When using the app alongside the FreeStyle Libre 2 scanner, it's important to understand that signals can be sent to either the scanner or your phone, but not both simultaneously. To receive signals on your phone, you must launch the sensor through the app. Conversely, to use the scanner, you need to activate the sensor with the scanner itself. If the sensor is initially launched using the scanner, you can still scan it with your phone later. However, the app and scanner do not communicate with each other, so to ensure comprehensive data collection, you should scan the sensor with the device you are using every 8 hours. The FreeStyle LibreLink app is specifically designed to measure glucose levels in diabetic patients when used in conjunction with a compatible sensor. For detailed instructions on using the app, please refer to the manual accessible through the app itself. If you need a printed copy, you can contact Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Service. Always consult your healthcare professional to ensure this product is suitable for your needs and to address any questions about using the product for treatment decisions.

Please note that when using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system, as the app does not include one. Additionally, the signals you receive from the FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors do not contain glucose readings; you must perform a sensor scan to check your glucose levels. To share your data, registration with LibreView is required for using FreeStyle LibreLink and LibreLinkUp.
