An OBD2 Engine ECU Diagnostics Tool Using a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth ELM327 Adapter
This car diagnostics application displays data from various electronic vehicle modules using an ELM327 OBDII adapter. It provides real-time graphical data display, saving and playback capabilities, and displays and resets engine fault codes/DTCs. You can configure minimum/maximum values for each sensor/PID to trigger alarms. The app supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi ELM327 OBD adapters; however, adapters V1.5 to V2.1 have received numerous complaints regarding inaccurate readings. Important: ELM327 chips only work with OBD2-compliant vehicles: US cars manufactured since 1996, European gasoline cars since 2001 and diesel cars since 2003, and Japanese cars since approximately 2000.
Beyond standard OBDII parameters, the app supports special parameters for various car brands, including: BMW , BYD CarBit, Chery, Chrysler/Dodge, Citroen, Daewoo, Fiat, Ford, Geely, GM/Chevrolet/Pontiac, GreatWall, Honda, Jeep, KIA, Hyundai, Land Rover, Lifan, Mazda, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Skoda, SsangYong, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, VAG, Volvo, VAZ, GAZ, ZAZ, and UAZ. The list of supported models and parameters is constantly updated. Note that not all PIDs listed for a specific brand may be supported by your vehicle. For ease of use, you can select desired PID types in "Settings / PID types."
Some car brands (currently including some Mitsubishi models) offer control over various systems (e.g., cooling fan, fuel pump). To read MUT parameters and control actuators on CAN-bus equipped Mitsubishi models (Montero/Pajero IV, Outlander 2, etc.), create a profile using the ISO 9141-2 protocol. For reading CAN parameters, use the ISO 15765-4 CAN (11bit 500K) protocol or automatic selection. Note that not all Mitsubishi CAN-bus models support ISO 9141-2 connectivity. Extensive opportunities exist for creating custom parameters.
