ADW Launcher 2 goes far beyond simply tweaking your Android desktop. You might think that the original and best launcher of all time hasn't seen an update recently, but from a non-linear, non-subjective perspective, we released this update three years ago, and you just didn't notice. Don't worry—we understand that not everyone has 1.21 gigawatts to spare.
We've been paying close attention to Google's recommendations on app options and settings, and while the ability to speak doesn't make us intelligent, we've made all the opposite choices. Without freedom of choice, there's no creativity. The Launcher bores.
You may find the excess of settings disturbing, and we don't blame you. It's a totally normal reaction. You might not be ready for it yet, but your kids are going to love it. With approximately 3,720 configuration possibilities, it's the best launcher because math never lies.
We offer screens, icons, and widgets, and yes, you can create your own. If you prefer pre-made options, use themes or widget and template packs. Is your device's desktop boring? Change it again, Sam. Your style, your rules. Do or do not—there's a setting for it. Tweak it, change it, shaken, not stirred.
Remember, "There's no such thing as 'the unknown,' only options inside ADW Settings."
Are you going to miss out?
Endless Features
Most of the application has been reprogrammed and redesigned from scratch. We've added a plethora of new features, including:
- Support for Android 7.1 launcher shortcuts (with limited support on older versions down to 5.x)
- A new icons effects section where you can choose image filters and compositions. Awesome!
- Dynamic UI coloring using wallpaper colors.
- A new way to manage screens by holding down an empty area of the desktop.
- New methods for adding widgets and shortcuts.
- A new way to change the wallpaper, lock/unlock the desktop, or access settings by holding down an empty area of the desktop and choosing the option.
- A fast scroll app drawer style.
- An indexed fast scroll app drawer style.
- Some desktop transitions.
- A new section to configure icon badges.
- A visual mode to configure desktop, icon appearance, folder appearance, and app drawer options.
- Options to change the top panel/widget.

- Check out the ADWExtensions pack for more extensions (weather, Gmail, etc).
- A template manager to easily remove, add, and share templates.

- Probably two or two hundred things we're forgetting...
- A bunch of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff inside!
