How to Play Rummy Plus – Phase Card Game
The goal is simple yet challenging: Be the first player to successfully complete all ten phases and win the game. If multiple players complete the final phase, the one with the lowest total score wins. Here's how it works:
Understanding the Phases
Each phase consists of a specific combination of cards, such as sets (cards of the same value), runs (consecutive cards in order), monochrome sets, or combinations of these. There are ten unique phases to master, each increasing in complexity.
- The dealer shuffles the deck and deals 10 cards face down to each player.
- Players must hold their cards without revealing them to others.
- Phases must be completed in numerical order from 1 to 10.
- You must have the full Phase in your hand before laying it down.
- You can add extra cards to your Phase if they logically fit the set or run.
- Only one Phase can be completed per hand.
- If you complete a Phase, you move on to the next one in the following round. If not, you must try again.
- Credit for completing a Phase is given immediately once laid down — you don’t need to win the hand to progress.
- You’re not required to lay down your Phase even if you have it — but you still must discard at the end of your turn.
Going Out & Ending the Round
Once you've laid down your Phase, focus on getting rid of all remaining cards in your hand. Remember, every turn begins with drawing a card and ends with a discard — no skipping turns!
Scoring System
When a player completes their Phase and discards all cards, the round ends. Players tally up points based on the cards left in their hands. The lower your score, the better. Here's how the scoring works:
- 5 points for each card with values 1–9
- 10 points for each card with values 10–12
- 15 points for a Skip card
- 25 points for a Wild card
Winning the Game
If only one player reaches Phase 10 and completes it, they win immediately. If multiple players complete Phase 10 in the same round, the one with the lowest total score becomes the champion. In case of a tie, players replay Phase 10 until someone emerges victorious.
