Japanese Mahjong is an engaging game that follows the traditional Japanese rules. To play, you'll use the slider at the bottom of the screen to select tiles and tap to discard them. The objective is to complete a winning hand, which consists of four melds and one pair, such as [1, 2, 3][6, 6, 6][6, 7, 8][N, N, N][4, 4]. However, some hands are not valid if you use Chi, Pon, or Open Kan, especially when involving the numbers 1 and 9.

In Japanese Mahjong, you need at least one valid hand, which can be achieved by paying 1,000 points to declare Reach. Note that you cannot declare Reach if you have used Chi, Pon, or Open Kan. A closed hand, one that hasn't used any of these actions, can yield higher points.

Be aware of the concept of a Lost Hand. This occurs when your hand is waiting to win but cannot because you have already discarded a tile that would complete your hand. Even with a Lost Hand, you can still win by self-drawing. The key is to never win off another player's discard (Ron) if you've already discarded the winning tile yourself. Always analyze the other players' discards to strategize your winning hand.
