Chess Scanner
Introducing the Score Sheet Scanner for digitizing your chess games, designed to effortlessly convert your traditional score sheets into digital format. With our advanced technology, you can scan your score sheets and instantly generate a digital game, complete with an overview that displays the score sheet alongside the generated moves. If any moves are misrecognized, our intuitive interface allows you to correct them easily using move suggestions, ensuring accuracy and ease of use.
Once your game is digitized, you can categorize it into a tournament, analyze it using Lichess or Chess.com, or export it as a PGN file for further use. Our scanner supports both the integrated camera and gallery selection, making it simple to capture score sheets. You can specify score sheets for both White and Black players, which is especially useful for tournament directors. Up to two score sheets per player can be used, enhancing the accuracy of the game generation process.
Upon scanning, the game can be generated immediately, or you can choose to manually overlay the move grid for added control. We support a wide range of chess notations including English (N/B/R/Q/K), German (S/L/T/D/K), Dutch (P/L/T/D/K), Spanish/Italian (C/A/T/D/R), French (C/F/T/D/R), Portuguese (C/B/T/D/R), and Czech/Slovak (J/S/V/D/K). While other notations are also possible, recognition may vary based on our existing models.
Game generation is facilitated through our servers, with processing times typically ranging from 1 to 10 seconds, depending on the score sheet's legibility, game length, and your internet connection. The generated game overview visually distinguishes each move's confidence level with different background colors, allowing you to tap on any move to view the corresponding chess position and explore alternative moves suggested by our system.
If a move is incorrectly recognized or missing, our move suggestion feature helps you correct it swiftly. You can skip or insert moves as needed and regenerate the game from any point. Additionally, you can enrich your game data with player and tournament information, along with a description field for further details.
Our comprehensive overview and filtering options allow you to manage all your digitized games efficiently. You can filter by tournament, round, and favorites, and use the search function to locate games by players or descriptions. Exporting games as PGN files is straightforward, with customizable settings for including tournament details, rounds, dates, and more. Additionally, you can import games into the app via PGN files.
For deeper analysis, games can be directly opened in Lichess or Chess.com, though some features, such as exporting and analyzing games, are available only with a premium subscription.
