This offline card game, Callbreak, requires no internet connection! A classic game, you can play against friends or the AI. It's also very friendly on your data plan.

Known by various names globally (Call Bridge, lakadi, Spades, Racing), Callbreak features slight regional rule variations, but the core gameplay remains consistent.

How to Play Callbreak:

Typically played by four players with a standard 52-card deck, cards rank A-K-Q-J-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2 within each suit. Games consist of three or five rounds. A random card draw determines the first dealer; the lowest card shuffles and deals clockwise. The player to the dealer's right leads the first trick.

Any card can be led; others must follow suit. If unable to follow suit, a player must play a spade (trump suit), provided it's high enough to beat existing spades.

Winning Callbreak:

The highest card in a trick wins, or the highest card of the led suit if no spades are played. To win the round, a player must win at least the number of spades they initially bid. Successful bids add to the score; exceeding the bid adds a bonus (0.1). Unsuccessful bids deduct the bid amount.

A round is redealt if: a) a player has no spades; or b) a player has no face cards (J, Q, K, A).

Callbreak's Global Popularity:

Callbreak is immensely popular in Nepal, Bangladesh, Qatar, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, and India, and enjoys similar popularity in North America as "Spades," although scoring, call systems, and game length differ. Spades uses a fixed score to determine the game's end, while Callbreak uses a fixed number of rounds.
